Role & responsibilities

Job Overview: As a Backend Engineer for Platform, you will work on custom solutions for customers integrations with their infrastructure. You will work closely with other internal teams to design and implement robust integration solutions for the customer. You will leverage our tech stack, including Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, MongoDB, AWS and Docker, to build secure, scalable, and reliable integrations. Your work will involve understanding existing architectures and working closely with customers to customise and build new integration points that meet their unique requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to gather and understand integration requirements.
• Design and develop new integration points using Node.js, TypeScript, and MongoDB.
• Work on system architectures that provide scalable solutions that meet customer needs.
• Write and maintain integration documentation, ensuring transparency for customers and internal teams.
• Troubleshoot, test, and debug integration solutions in development and production environments.
• Ensure solutions are aligned with best practices for security, performance, and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and improve team processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and methodologies to improve integration performance.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on system integrations.
• Proficiency in Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Understanding of system architectures and designing scalable, efficient integration solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think through complex issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with customers and team members.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms or technologies.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with SFTP and ETL processes using CSV files.
• Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, S3, ECS, CDK) or equivalent services in other cloud providers
