Project Description:
The Price Master Central (PMC) application is a global reference data management system responsible for sourcing securities and pricing data from both market vendors and internal sources. This data is processed using client-specific rules and then provided to downstream clients. The PMC team is looking to onboard an ETL Application Developer to work on Talend application development, joining a team with expertise in ETL tools like Ab Initio and Talend. The successful candidate will play a hands-on role in developing new frameworks and applications, working with various teams including development, testing, production support, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of new ETL models and frameworks.
- Hands-on ETL development, with a primary focus on Talend.
- Collaborate with teams across departments such as System Administrators, Database Administrators, and Data Center Operations.
- Engage in the design and development of database structures, including constraints and indexes.
- Work on new or existing data delivery applications, ensuring scalability and high throughput.
- Address Talend CVM/EOVS issues, manage Talend upgrades, and apply patches.
- Ensure automation through CI/CD across cloud and on-premises platforms.
- Provide production support for Talend applications and, if applicable, Ab Initio.
- Serve as a mentor to junior developers and analysts.
- Work in an Agile environment, using Jira for project tracking.
Mandatory Skills:
- 8 years of strong experience in ETL development and architecture.
- At least 4 years of hands-on development experience with the Talend ETL tool.
- Solid knowledge of SQL or PL/SQL development, including performance tuning.
- Expertise in Securities and Price Reference Data systems.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, particularly CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Knowledge of Autosys is advantageous.
- Understanding of Ab Initio would be a plus.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python.
- Experience in change and release management is beneficial.
