Your Role

As a Product Designer at Virtual Internships,

• You’ll be a part of a small and effective team – you’ll have a say in what to build and then own it
• You’ll design and prototype user interfaces for our web applications. You will be pivotal in delivering a seamless, user-centric app experience, to ensure that we build something valuable for the customer and end users
• You’ll conduct user testing and engage with our users to get their feedback and perspectives, to learn how we can design a better user experience
• You’ll translate user requirements into responsive and visually appealing interfaces
• You’ll develop and maintain a clean and scalable design system and repository
• You’ll stay up to date on the latest in product and design – actively exploring best practices to enhance our design excellence
• You’ll identify libraries and technologies that solve our problems and/or are worth experimentation

Who We’re Looking For

• Someone with at least 3-4 years of experience in crafting end-to-end product design
• Have a compelling portfolio demonstrating high-quality design work, strategic thinking, and storytelling
• Experienced with Figma and have an organised approach to your designs
• Skilled in user testing and research methods, including A/B testing among others
• Familiar with responsive design principles and mobile-first approaches
• Familiar with HTML and CSS
• a great team player and fluent in written and spoken English

You’ll stand out in the crowd if you have:

• Experience in higher education, EdTech and/or HRTech products
• You have worked at an early-stage startup
• You have worked at a remote-first organization

Virtual Internships Perks and Benefits

• Remote-First: All roles at VI are currently and will remain remote – flexibility to work from anywhere. If you’re based in Vietnam, we also have an HCMC office you can work from.
• Flexible Working Hours: Start earlier, leave earlier, take a shorter lunch, or leave later, it’s totally up to you.
• Annual Leave: Wherever you are in the world, you’ll get 25 days of paid annual leave per year, plus bank holidays and 5 sick days.
• Life Event Leave: There are moments in life where your life responsibility is a higher priority than work (e.g. moving house, your best friend getting married, your sister having a baby) therefore, you’ll get 5 days of paid life-event leave to support these occasions. You also get a day off on your birthday. This is in addition to your Annual Leave.

• Tech: New joiners receive either a Windows, a Macbook or a $750 budget for your company laptop depending on the role and location.
