Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Project Manager to join our dedicated environmental team. This position offers the flexibility of 100% remote work within the USA, provided candidates meet the qualifications outlined below. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing environmental services and strategies specifically for midstream pipeline projects, which include natural gas, hydrogen, and crude oil.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multiple projects from routing and siting phases through to construction compliance.
- Direct and manage resource teams conducting environmental studies and preparing necessary permit applications, including FERC Section 7© and Third-party EIS documentation.
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
- Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, attorneys, and GIS analysts.
- Engage with the public and stakeholders during hearings and public meetings to communicate project impacts.
- Monitor and manage project scope, budgetary constraints, schedule, and forecasting.
- Participate in business development initiatives and represent the company at industry conferences.
- Conduct field reviews and compliance inspections to ensure adherence to environmental standards.
Required Skills
- In-depth knowledge of FERC regulations and federal environmental regulations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with software tools such as MS Project, Teams, and MS Dynamics is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental licensing and permitting related to pipeline projects.
- Expertise in FERC regulatory compliance and federal environmental regulations is essential.
