Senior Designer (Remote)

Position : Visual Designer

Work Hours: 9am – 5pm MST

Salary Range: $1,200- $1,500/month

Job Summary

The Senior Visual Designer role extends beyond daily design tasks to encompass the oversight of complex, high-value, and enterprise-level clients. The Senior Visual Designer is responsible for updating and maintaining training materials and departmental processes, contributing to operational excellence. The Senior Visual Designer will be pivotal in supporting product development. Furthermore, the Senior Visual Designer will also supervise a team of contractors.

Duties & Responsibilities

Product Execution

• Produce high-quality visual designs from concept to final hand-off, crafting compelling brands and visuals in various styles and consistency across all platforms, such as print, social media, and emails, among others.
• Adhere to current & traditional Visual Design and Social Media trends, techniques and styles and stay committed to continuously improving their skills and abilities.
• Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
• Continuously stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to ensure we are ahead of the curve.

Department Process & Training Development & Maintenance

• Assume responsibility for developing, testing, updating and maintaining all departmental processes, workflows, best practices, and training documentation.
• Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for team members, collaborating with appropriate stakeholders to effectively implement processes and ensure smooth operations.

Client Production Management

• Effectively oversee client relationships and projects for Creative Services’ branding products, coordinating and attending meetings, providing art direction, executing the task, managing project scoping, and ensuring timely delivery to meet client requirements.
• Oversee and manage external contractors by providing art direction tasks and approving completed work to ensure it meets quality and brief guidelines.

Product Development Support

• Actively participate in product development discussions, working closely with the manager to innovate and optimize our offerings.

Required Skills, Experience & Education

Must-Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field
• Minimum five years of specialized experience in visual design
• At least one year in a team leadership role, preferably within a design or digital marketing context
• Experience in customer service or a client-facing role
• Advanced proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
• Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and current design trends
• Proven experience in managing multiple projects effectively to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated capability to resolve complex design challenges

Nice-To-Have:

• Knowledge and experience in Content Creation and Photography would be an asset
• Basic video editing skills would be an asset
• Previous experience in Marketing Agency, Communications, or related field.
• Optometry, Dental, and Medical Aesthetic industry knowledge
• Autonomy without the fear of asking questions
• Works well under pressure and has proven stress management techniques
