As we continue expanding our North America division, we are looking for a talented Associate Creative Director, Production Design to join our team.

JOB SUMMARY

As an Associate Creative Director, Production Design at April Six, you will be responsible for overseeing production design, managing a team of freelancers, and ensuring the highest quality of work delivered to our clients. This role is pivotal in maintaining creative standards and driving excellence in production, both internally and externally. You will collaborate closely with creative directors, designers, and cross-functional teams to ensure that all production outputs align with client expectations and reflect our commitment to delivering impactful, innovative solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Lead Production Design:

    Oversee and direct all production design efforts to ensure consistency, brand alignment, and high creative quality across all deliverables.

  • Manage Freelancers:

    Partner with Creative Resource Manager to lead a network of freelance designers, illustrators, and other production staff. Assign projects appropriately, provide clear creative direction, and ensure work is delivered on time and to a high standard.

  • Quality Assurance (QA):

    Implement a robust quality assurance process to ensure all client deliverables meet high creative standards. Review work at key stages of production to maintain the integrity of the original vision and brand guidelines.

  • Creative Collaboration:

    Work closely with the creative directors and cross-functional teams to develop innovative concepts and execution plans that align with client objectives and brand strategies.

  • Client Liaison:

    Serve as a point of contact for production-related queries, offering expert advice and managing expectations around timelines, deliverables, and creative quality.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    Stay informed of the latest trends and technologies in production design and marketing. Provide insights to help evolve our processes and creative output, ensuring April Six remains at the forefront of innovation.


Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in production design, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing freelance creatives and/or in-house teams.
  • Excellent design thinking and execution, ranging from conceptual and digital application to editorial and production execution.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of production design work across different media (print, digital, social).
  • Excellent knowledge of production workflows and processes.
  • Proficient in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
