Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Marketing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training to the sales team, ensuring they have a deep understanding of our products, services, competitive advantages, and offerings. Additionally, this role will involve organizing and hosting regular webinars, both internally for team members and externally for customers or partners.
The Product Marketing Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Sales, and Customer Success, to ensure that the messaging, positioning, and training programs are aligned with business objectives and effectively equip the sales team to meet their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Training & Enablement:
- Develop and deliver training programs for the sales team on product features, offerings, and competitive advantages.
- Ensure the sales team is equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools to effectively communicate the value proposition to potential customers.
- Create comprehensive sales enablement materials (e.g., product guides, competitive analysis, FAQs, playbooks) that help the sales team succeed in the field.
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership to continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of training and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
Webinars and Product Training:
- Plan, develop, and conduct regular internal training sessions and webinars for the sales and customer-facing teams.
- Organize and host external webinars and training sessions for customers, partners, and prospects, showcasing product features, new releases, and market trends.
- Ensure webinars are engaging, educational, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to understand competitors’ offerings, market positioning, and pricing strategies.
- Create and maintain competitive analysis materials to help the sales team effectively position the company’s products against competitors.
- Provide regular updates to the sales and product teams on industry trends and competitive threats.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Product Management to stay updated on product roadmaps, new features, and enhancements.
- Collaborate with Marketing to ensure product positioning, messaging, and promotional materials align with overall brand strategy.
- Act as a liaison between sales and product teams, gathering feedback from the field to help inform product development and marketing strategies.
Product Launch Support:
- Assist in the planning and execution of product launches, ensuring the sales team is fully prepared with the necessary training, materials, and support.
- Coordinate with Marketing and Product teams to develop product launch collateral, including presentations, case studies, and sales kits.
Performance Measurement & Reporting:
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of training programs and webinars, using data to inform future improvements.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales enablement, training adoption, and sales success post-training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, or a related role, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Proven experience in creating and delivering training programs and webinars.
- Strong understanding of sales processes and strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
- Ability to translate complex product details into easily understandable and compelling narratives.
- Experience with competitive analysis and market research.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in tools such as PowerPoint, Google Slides, Zoom, and webinar hosting platforms.
