Senior Process Designer (Remote)

Job description / Role

Wood is currently recruiting for Senior Process Designer to strengthen our team in Dubai with possible trips to Iraq if the Client required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Carry out assigned Process design work as part of a multi-discipline project team
– Will be required to perform site surveys and data gathering exercises at various project locations as per business needs
– To provide discipline specific design and drafting services that meet the Project’s, and applicable statutory and regulatory, requirements.
– Should be proficient in P&ID As built activities.
– Produce 2D drawings in AutoCAD
– Knowledge of SPPID is preferable
– Preparation and checking of all types of Process design deliverables such as BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, MSDs and Process Safeguarding Diagrams
– To assist in the preparation of line lists and tie-in lists
– To assist in the coordination of all activities related to the discipline
– To promote safe behavior at all times

QUALIFICATIONS

– Diploma in Chemical Engineering
– Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry
– Previous experience working on Iraq projects is preferable
– Previous Wood experience preferred
– Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
– Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Excel and Word
– Experience in Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Design is required
– Experience in the preparation and co-ordination of Process design deliverables
– Compliance with industry, international and Client Codes and standards. Onshore Oil and Gas related Process design experience
– A determination to continually improve safety in all aspects of plant design and operation
