  Job Summary

  • Prod Manager- Defoamer & Polymer, Strength Additive, Sizing Chemicals is a key position for addressing all current business-related activities of defoamer product line, communication with supplier and managing the application side (Customer usage) and Development side of the business in APC group.
  • The job involves identifying new chemistries, blends, vendors etc.
  • PM- Defoamer & Polymer, Strength Additive, Sizing Chemicals shall work with sales team, or specifically assigned technical marketing team and Product Development Department to understand their need, resolve the current issues and help troubleshoot product related issues.
  • PM Defoamer & Polymer, Strength Additive, Sizing Chemicals is expected to work closely with Suppliers, Technical marketing team, Sales and Product Development team for improving the current and on-site protocols for defoamer applications

  Key Role and Responsibilities

  • Manage the products portfolio, including coordination with different suppliers.
  • Protect IP (Intellectual property) of all the products, under product line.
  • Troubleshooting the product related issues.
  • Support and Advocate company ESG initiatives
  • Develop new products (Inhouse and bought-in), in line with expectations from sales and different segments and write PIS (Product Information Sheet)
  • Work with Prod development department, Lab and technical service team to screen and validate new concepts and products.
  • Work with supplier/PD team to improve, improvise existing products.
  • Coordinate new product trials at customer sites, in consultation with Sales and technical marketing team.
  • Approval authority for all QC related issues with products.
  • Communicate Product and Application knowledge to Technical Marketing team, sales and customers.
  • Product Launches, along with technical marketing team.
  • Develop test protocol for customer site, for sales team to provide better technical services on site.
  • Analytical work: Evaluate the field trial along with technical marketing and use those success/failure to enhance product line
  • Travel requirement to customer site.
  • Prepare internal report and materials to update management about the progress in product lines.

  Qualification/Education

  • Bachelor or College degree in science, chemistry or technical specialty.

  Experience

  • Product Management, Business Development /Product Development in Chemical Industry and/or process Industry
  • >15 year of Industry experience (Product Management, Application support, technical marketing)

  Skills

  • Good proficiency in spoken and written English. Chinese is an added advantage.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent, result oriented.

  Special condition

  Able to work flexible hours and frequent travel is required.
