> Software Engineer Team Lead Software Engineer Team Lead Fully Remote • Remote Worker – N/A Job Type Full-time Description **Job Summary** The Software Engineer – Team Lead guides an engineering team through the challenges of building and scaling our SaaS platform. This role includes leading projects, mentoring the team, and driving technical excellence without the full HR management responsibilities. The Tech Lead will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day technical tasks of a squad, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality software and fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.

**Responsibilities**

* Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects while working closely with product management, design, and other stakeholders.

* Supervise the day-to-day activities of the engineering team, ensuring efficient progress on projects and high standards of quality.

* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting best practices in software development.

* Collaborate with the engineering team to architect, design, and implement scalable, high-performance software solutions.

* Conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

* Act as a key contributor to the technical direction of the platform, including technology selection, architecture, and tooling.

* Facilitate continuous learning and development opportunities for team members, encouraging innovation and experimentation.

* Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members, providing input on technical assessments and training.

* Maintain hands-on involvement in coding, debugging, and developing features, staying up to date with technological advancements and industry trends.

* Perform 1:1s at least bi-weekly, providing feedback for reviews to management.

* Ability to travel nationwide, up to 10% annually.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements **Required Skills & Qualifications**

* 7 + years software engineering experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise level software with a proven track record of leading projects to successful completion

* Proficient understanding of core cloud services, uses, and cloud architecture best practices

* Strong technical expertise in relevant programming languages and frameworks/libraries

* C#/.NET framework

* Consuming and creating APIs

* Cloud Services (Azure and/or AWS)

* SQL Server or RDS development and related data access technologies

* HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Vue, and/or other front-end frameworks and technologies.

* Willingness to learn new technologies

* Experience with software development best practices, including agile methodologies, code reviews, continuous integration (CI), and continuous deployment (CD).

* Experience with Atlassian tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc.

* People management skills.

* Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with both technical and non-technical audiences, with the ability to mentor and motivate team members

* Good cross-team and collaboration skills

* Solid software design knowledge, demonstrated ability to architect scalable and maintainable software

* Ability to create software that’s extensible, reusable and meets desired architectural objectives

* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

**Preferred Skills & Qualifications**

* Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

* Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

* Prior experience in a tech lead role

* Contributions to open-source projects or public GitHub repositories

* Continuous learning mindset with a passion for staying up to date with the latest technologies and development practices

Salary Description $125,000-$150,000
