Position Summary:

Join an influential team as a Brand Strategy Senior Manager where you will accelerate the growth and reputation of Cigna Healthcare, International Health (IH). As a Brand Strategy Senior Manager, you will apply strategic, analytical, and creative thinking to solve challenges. You will drive the delivery of the brand strategy, architecture, positioning, naming, along with awareness and reputation building, staying closely aligned with the enterprise Brand team and International Health Marketing leads.

This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, problem solving and the ability to execute/implement across the enterprise, bringing the brand to life across key audiences and touchpoints. We are looking for a creative thinker, brand strategist and strong leader who can bring new ideas to the team, collaborate across marketing and with our business partners, and flawlessly execute on multiple priority projects.


Key Accountabilities include:

Influence the rollout and implementation of brand identity and migration strategies across the various international markets.

  • Partner with legal, technology, sourcing and other key stakeholders to understand dependencies and execute strategies
  • Interface with internal and external partners in coordination of brand projects
  • Build brand activation strategy for key IH markets and products
  • Support and define positioning and messaging across various go-to-market and brand relationship situations
  • Support brand health research and product/service naming ideation and implementation
  • Elevate the new brand narrative and identity, partnering with our creative teams and agencies to ensure consistent application
  • Serve as a thought leader within the organization, partnering with teams across the company to provide clear decisions and guidance on brand needs and application
  • Socialize and educate internal and external teams on brand strategy and implementation
  • Build thought leadership content to be leveraged by various markets
  • Own the over-arching social media strategy for International Health
  • Measure, monitor and communicate progress
  • Lead a dynamic team of brand strategists


Experience and Competencies:

You must be highly motivated, driven to succeed, have proven leadership skills and have demonstrated expertise in a matrixed environment. You are an accomplished Brand Strategist who is a strategic thinker, problem solver, creative person who can distill complex situations into clear guidance and who understands the big picture

8+ years of experience in brand strategy and/or activation

A passion for problem solving, creative expression, and improving the way companies relate to clients and customers

Experience with brand/marketing strategy for B2C and B2B with messaging to multiple target groups

Experience collaborating with agencies and creative resources (internal/external)

Experience in leveraging data and research to inform strategy and execution

Persuasive storyteller

Well-honed communication skills, enabling the partnership with others to effectively inform and influence while building trust

Experienced in anticipating, understanding, and meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholders

Ability to translate business strategy and goals into brand strategy and liaison with key marketing and creative partners to bring it all to life

Writing skills and ability to create strategic frameworks

Presentation skills and ability to distil complex information into executive summaries

Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and execute with ambiguity

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Effective under pressure

Experienced in budget management

Experienced in managing a team

Experience in the insurance industry a plus
