Project Manager

Looking for a Project Manager to join our team for a full-time remote position to support the U.S. Coast Guard.

A Day in the Life:

• Serve as the designated Project Manager with full authority to act on all matters related to the performance of the task order, ensuring seamless project execution.
• Appoint an Alternate Key Person to maintain continuity and communication with the government when the primary Key Personnel is unavailable.
• Utilize strong communication skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English, to effectively manage project responsibilities and stakeholder interactions.
• Engage in defining the needs and forming teams for acquisition projects, reviewing current strategies, and performing market research to ensure alignment with government requirements.
• Work on requirements definition, acquisition strategy formulation, and development of actionable acquisition package artifacts that comply with FAR and other applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with C5ISC Product Line Managers, Shared Service Division representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure acquisition projects meet goals and objectives.
• Possess knowledge, skills, and abilities to research, prepare, develop, and revise documents for PWS requirements.
• Develop, write, and edit materials for Government acquisition planning, solicitations, evaluations, reports, briefs, and related documents.
• Handle acquisitions related to design, development, analysis, evaluation, deployment, installation, operation, maintenance, improvement, and/or retirement/decommissioning of C5I systems on CG assets, ashore or afloat.
• Understand and organize material according to FAR and DHS HSAM policies, USCG Acquisition Procedures (CGAP), and C5ISC acquisition job aids, desk guides, or process guides.

When I read the below it sounds like me:

• A bachelor’s degree (preferred, but not required).
• Minimum of 3 years in project management.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent.
• Experience in one or more of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management principles.
• Training and certification or equivalent in measurable process improvement and/or continuous improvement methodologies, such as: Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Must be able to pass a government background check
• Must be a US Citizen
