About the role

We have a permanent opportunity for a Principal Contracts Administration to join our Project Management team. You’ll be responsible in providing expertise, supervision, and support in contract administration in the role of Superintendent’s Representative on medium to large/complex infrastructure projects across WA. Based in Leederville, this role will be reporting to our Manager Contracts Administration.

What the role will involve

  • Appointed by the Superintendent to fulfil the role of Superintendent’s Representative to administer three party commercial contracts. 
  • Appointed by the Principal to fulfil the role of Superintendent to administer three party commercial contracts or alternatively act on behalf of the Principal in the role of Principal’s Representative
  • Facilitate the resolution of escalated contract administration and management issues
  • Liaise with the Project Manager and the Design Manager/Design Consultant to ensure contractor requests for information are actioned within appropriate time frames to best protect the interests of the Principal
  • Lead progress meetings with contractors and ensure that the Water Corporation’s OSH, environmental and quality policies, and procedures are communicated, understood and followed
  • Review and monitor the implementation of OSH management plans, onsite construction Job Safety & Environmental Analysis (JSEA) documentation, Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) end ensure compliance with the Construction Environment Management Framework (CEMF) and environmental approval conditions for the project

Key skills and experience

  • Degree level qualification in engineering, construction law, quantity surveying, or relevant discipline and experience in contracts administration
  • Extensive contract administration experience in Superintendent’s Representative and/or the Superintendent role managing contractual responsibilities on infrastructure projects
  • Experience in preparing, negotiating and executing variations and extension of time claims
  • Proven contract management and estimating experience in the delivery of large / complex infrastructure projects
