Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to join our marketing team. The intern will assist in managing our social media platforms by creating engaging content, interacting with followers, and analyzing performance metrics. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing and brand promotion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation: Assist in planning, developing, and posting creative content (graphics, photos, videos, and text) for various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.).
• Scheduling and Publishing: Manage the content calendar, ensuring timely posting across all social media platforms using scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
• Community Management: Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
• Research Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to keep content fresh and relevant.
• Performance Analytics: Monitor, track, and report on social media performance metrics (e.g., engagement rates, follower growth) using tools such as Google Analytics or social platform insights.
• Collaboration: Work with the marketing and content teams to brainstorm new ideas, campaigns, and strategies that align with the brand’s goals.
• Hashtag and Keyword Optimization: Research and apply relevant hashtags and keywords to maximize content reach and visibility.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and attention to detail
• Basic understanding of social media metrics and analytics
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with graphic design and editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus
• Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in social media marketing or managing social media accounts
• Basic knowledge of SEO and digital marketing strategies
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at once
