In this role, you will be responsible for managing VMware, Citrix, and other virtualisation technologies, as well as Microsoft Enterprise server management (both on-premise and cloud-based tools). A strong focus on detail and forward-thinking innovation is essential, along with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex, secure systems and networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage VMware virtualisation infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Configure and maintain Citrix environments, including XenApp and XenDesktop, to support seamless application delivery and desktop virtualisation.
- Administer WatchGuard firewall solutions to safeguard network security and protect against cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess business requirements and develop scalable solutions that align with organisational goals.
Requirements
- Ample experince in systems engineering, with expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and Citrix products.
- Proficiency in managing Cisco and HP routers, Watchguard firewalls, and network security principles would be highly advantageous.
- Strong background in Microsoft Server environments and experience with WiFi and structured cabling projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with scripting (PowerShell or Python) for automation.
