Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails development, a deep understanding of web application frameworks, and a strong proficiency in building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails framework.
• Build and optimize scalable and secure back-end services, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices (DRY, TDD, etc.).
• Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Maintain legacy systems while developing new features and functionality.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in production environments.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and MVC architecture.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js is a plus.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and API integrations.
• Expertise in working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and working in Scrum teams.
• Knowledge of Git for version control and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
