Secure Development Advisor will design and implement secure software solutions for TruBridge. They will oversee our corporate secure software development program. The Secure Development Advisor will develop and enforce secure development policies and procedures, ensuring that TruBridge Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) is robust and compliant with industry standards and regulatory. They may work closely with our project managers, software engineers and security experts to ensure that all products meet the highest security standards.
Essential Functions:
  • Secure TruBridge’s Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) through all stages.
  • Identify, assess, and update existing security procedures related to software development, design and quality initiatives.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and executives to review and design security requirements, updating and revising as necessary.
  • Work with risk and compliance teams to ensure secure development practices align with overall corporate risk, compliance, quality initiatives, and security policies.
  • Act as a stakeholder/expert for secure development in internal and external audits and corporate certification processes.
  • Serve as chairperson for TruBridge secure development committee.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in security initiatives for Trubridge’s software products.
  • Conduct regular assessments of Trubridge’s software products to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Manage security incidents and response for incidents related to TruBridge software products.
  • Create and enhance a secure development education program, training employees on the latest security policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and ensure active participation in corporate-required security training related to software development.
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of software tests for vulnerability detection and ensuring resource/data protection.
  • Monitor employee compliance with security protocols for software development, deployment, and operation.
  • Assist investigations into breaches of security related to TruBridge product offerings.
  • Review results from application security testing.
  • Develop and monitor metrics to track the success of TruBridge’s secure software development initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Collaborate with the security team to develop and implement security policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance and support to other developers to promote a secure development mindset
  • Document and maintain accurate records of all security-related activities and findings
Minimum Requirements:
Education/Experience/Certification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Secure development strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of software security concepts and principles, development practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience with risk and compliance management as it relates to software development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to follow through on issues to resolution.
  • Must be able to act both independently and as a team member.
