Senior Data Warehouse Specialist (Remote)

Job description / Role

The key responsibility of this role is to designs and implements data warehouse solutions, manage and monitor data warehouses and solve any issues that arises. They collaborate with teams to data analytics and infrastructure team to optimize data processes for strategic decision-making.

Description

* Manage, test, and maintain data pipelines for efficient data flow and processing.
* Continuously optimize data platform performance to ensure scalability and efficiency.
* Administer and maintain end-to-end big data platforms and ensure system scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
* Analyze large datasets to generate actionable insights and support informed decision-making.
* Implement and maintain big data tools and technologies to improve business operations.
* Conduct analysis, design, development, validation, and deployment of BI solutions (e.g., reporting tools).
* Operate, maintain, and support data analytics platforms, ensuring smooth BI server operations.
* Perform unit testing, troubleshooting, and integration with different types of data sources.
* Set up and evaluate BI servers, ensuring proper integration with data source systems.
* Design and develop scalable BI solutions, building lists, crosstabs, graphs, scorecards, metrics, reports, and dashboards.
* Develop real-time and near real-time data ingestion and transformation processes.
* Contribute to all aspects of the project life cycle, including strategy, road-mapping, architecture, and implementation.

* Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
* 5-8 years of experience in data warehouse development, database management, and data management.
* Excellent analytical skills with a focus on detail and user experience, able to derive insight and provide recommendation to the business teams.
* Highly proficient in data warehouse related skills such as Cloudera, Hive, SQL, ETL and Impala.
