Let’s break it down

Goods & Services is looking for a Senior SDET who is well-versed in Postman, Swagger, TypeScript, and JavaScript, you’ll excel in testing RESTful APIs, web and mobile applications, while leveraging defect management tools like Azure DevOps to ensure quality across projects.

What you’ll do:

• Development and execution of:
• Test plans and test strategies, test case documentation.
• Centralized and Integrated applications testing.
• Test execution, monitoring and coordination.
• Tracking of product defects in the software tracking tool.
• Deployment of software application installation and verification.
• Technical Test Result documentation.
• Collaborates with non-technical cross-functional team members.
• Executes and tracks testing on assigned products, including new products and modifications to existing systems.
• Communicates software issues through defects and enhancement requests to project team.
• Research and documents software issues.
• Helps to keep Confluence pages up to date.
• Actively provides status to lead or supervisor on assigned projects.
• Create test strategies for new features and ensure there is test coverage based on the test plan.
• Identifies test gaps and prioritize adding coverage based on areas of risk.
• Improvements to leadership that can benefit the team and company.
• Documents defects in products and update resolution in the ticket management system, Jira.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs.

What you’ll need

• B.S. degree required preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or related along with 5 years of related experience in software Quality Assurance testing methodology.
• Proficient using Postman and Swagger/Stoplight.
• Experience in testing RESTful API.
• Experience with JSON.
• Experience working with defect management and test management tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Experienced in black box testing techniques.
• Knowledge and experience on Web UI and Mobile application testing.
• Proficient using Automation with Playwright.
• Proficient using TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experienced in manual functional, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience testing web, native apps, and back-end applications.
• Database knowledge: Solid experience with database structures, SQL queries, and joins.
• Experience testing across web browsers including configuration, cache, and debugging techniques.
• Logical and systematic approach to complex support service issues.

Nice to have:

• Testing experience within an organization that has utilized Rapid or Agile software development life cycles.
• Familiar with YAML.
• Knowledge of defect management and test management tools such as Jira, HP Quality Center, ClearQuest, Bugzilla.
• Experience in data validation required for functional and end-to-end testing.
• App Server experience on Apache, Tomcat, IIS, WebLogic or Liferay.
