Job Overview
The primary role of the Account Executive is to find and sign new clients to the company. You represent the company and proactively look for new client relationships through networking, identifying and researching potential leads, presenting effective sales pitches, and offering relevant solutions. Once the contract is signed, you will continue to foster a positive customer relationship and address any escalations to ensure retention and ongoing opportunities for growth.

An innate desire to sell and a genuine aspiration to provide a great customer experience are critical in this position.

Responsibilities

Sales

  • Using your prospecting and relationship building skills, research and evaluate potential Virtual partners and customers to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor acitivites to inform strategic decision-making and identify new business opportunities and to penetrate target markets.

Account Operations / Retention

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new clients through effective account management to ensure retention and growth.
  • Set appointments and manage the sales cycle to convert qualified opportunities using phone, email, and product demonstrations.
  • Use CRM tools to manage all sales activities and refine your approach and outreach strategies.
  • Attend sales calls and come prepared to strategize opportunity generation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery and resolve escalations with a high sense of urgency. Assist in the reporting and actioning of any exceptions that may impact customer experience.
  • Nurture your client’s business by continuing to analyze their needs and offering services or products as relevant and necessary.
  • Represent the company to build the Virtual brand and foster positive client relationships. Participation in conferences, trade shows, and other industry events, may be required.

Requirements

  • Experience with new business development, lead generation and cold calling.
  • Technical and analytical skills, with a desire to develop an understanding of Virtual’s product offering.
  • The ability to be persuasive and empathetic with customers and coworkers alike.
  • Strong problem solving, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-management and time management skills are essential in this remote role in order to meet your sales quotas.
