Foundation School Program:

The primary source of state funding for Texas school districts is the Foundation School Program (FSP). This program ensures that all school districts, regardless of property wealth, receive “substantially equal access to similar revenue per student at similar tax effort.

• Experience Required: Minimum 7 to 10 years

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support an existing financial system using .NET 4.8 framework and Microsoft technologies.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle (SDLC) in a SCRUM/Agile environment for a maintenance project.
• Develop and maintain complex reports using Crystal Reports integrated with Oracle databases.
• Optimize and maintain code using nHibernate and Entity Framework for Object-Relational Mapping (ORM).
• Ensure the scalability and performance of the financial system through database solutions using Oracle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, identify, and resolve issues within the financial system.
• Work closely with the DevOps team to maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
• Provide ongoing technical support and resolve performance issues within the maintenance project.

Skills and Qualifications: 7 to 10 years of experience in application maintenance and support, with a focus on:

• SCRUM/Agile methodologies.
• DevOps practices, particularly in maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Microsoft technologies including .NET 4.8 framework, ASP.NET, C#, and Visual Studio.
• nHibernate and Entity Framework for ORM.
• Crystal Reports for generating and maintaining reports in financial systems.
• Oracle database management, including PL/SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Experience working on maintenance projects in a financial system environment, ensuring ongoing support and stability.
• Strong knowledge of version control systems using Bitbucket.

Required Skill/Qualification Experience:

• 7 Years: Software Development Life Cycle.
• 7 Years: SCRUM/Agile methodologies.
• 7 Years: DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment processes.
• 7 Years: .NET 4.8 framework, ASP.NET, C#, Visual Studio.
• 7 Years: nHibernate and Entity Framework for Object-Relational Mapping (ORM).
• 7 Years: Oracle (PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, Database Management, Performance Tuning).
• 7 Years: Crystal Reports for generating and maintaining reports in financial systems.
• 7 Years: Bitbucket for version control.

Preferred Skills/Qualification Experience:

• 7 Years: Communication Skills.
• 7 Years: Technical Documentation.
• 7 Years: Familiarity with Project-Specific Tools such as JIRA, TEMPO, Bitbucket, Confluence etc.

Details of position:

• 100% Remote, Work Location With-in the United States.
• The working position is Telework.
• Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Services are expected to start 11/04/2024 and are expected to complete by 08/31/2025. Total estimated hours per Candidate shall not exceed 520 hours. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing. “work made to hire.”
