About the Position

Way-Tech Process Solutions is seeking a driven, results-oriented Technical Sales Representative to join our team in Alberta. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a strong background in industrial mechanical equipment and a passion for solving customer challenges. As a home-based position, you’ll enjoy the flexibility to manage your schedule while actively growing our market presence within Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Development: Identify potential business opportunities by researching and qualifying prospect accounts.
  • Sales Engagement: Schedule and conduct client meetings, deliver compelling presentations, and understand the unique needs of each prospect.
  • Product Expertise: Clearly communicate the features, benefits, and applications of our product line to drive customer value.
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong rapport, credibility, and trust with both new and existing accounts.
  • Pricing Strategy: Oversee pricing and margin management in line with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Sales Funnel Management: Maintain a structured follow-up process to ensure all opportunities progress smoothly through the sales pipeline.
  • Account Growth: Manage, service, and expand existing accounts while consistently pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Procurement & Marketing: Coordinate supplier procurement activities and manage marketing and promotional materials.
  • Industry Events: Represent Way-Tech Process Solutions at industry conferences and exhibitions, fostering brand awareness and networking with key stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in selling mechanical equipment to industrial markets.
  • Education: Engineering or technologist background preferred.
  • Sales Track Record: Demonstrated success in sales and account management.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Aptitude: Solid understanding of industrial mechanical equipment; must have a mechanical or technical mindset.
  • Self-Motivation: High energy, self-driven, and eager to learn about our extensive product line.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize, multitask, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Effective in both team settings and working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel within the Pacific Northwest up to 30% of the time.
  • Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for business use.
