Job DescriptionUnder general supervision, performs a wide variety of time administration and payroll impacting activities, including an understanding of time system impacts to regular and overtime payments. Processes time and attendance for regular payroll cycle processing and historical adjustments in the time keeping and attendance software per policy. Ensures new hires and terminations are processed accurately in time system. Responds to employee time and attendance inquiries by evaluating and/or escalating questions to HR Operations and HRIS Director as needed.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for accurate and timely processing of employee time records in time keeping and attendance software. Responsible for maintenance and audits on HR data to ensure accuracy.
- Ensures transactions are processed in compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as government agency regulations.
- Process time submittals and historical adjustments within the time keeping and attendance software.
- Participates in projects and/or process improvements as it relates to streamlining processes within Kronos. Participates in testing of new features and configuration changes. Collaborates with Payroll to streamline processing and integrations between time and payroll.
- Coordinates with managers and other time approvers to ensure timely approvals.
- Maintains and supports a variety of reports/queries using appropriate reporting tools. Works with departments and leadership on tailoring specific reports needed for the workforce.
- Supports new users by providing assistance using the time keeping and attendance software. Provides support to users on functionality and assists in resolving technical issues, password resets, data capture, and report creation.
- Tracks and responds to employee inquiries regarding work and non-work hours submitted through time keeping and attendance software that impact an employee’s pay.
- Oversees prior state service tracking and record keeping. This includes working with outside state agencies in gathering prior state services time and leave balances. Participates in state auditor audits as it relates to state service time.
- Supports communication as needed for changes to deadlines due to holidays or other site operations that may impact deadlines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate a team player mentality with excellent customer service skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
License And Certification
REQUIRED SKILLS
Three (3) years of related time and attendance experience is required. Payroll knowledge preferred.~Kronos and Peoplesoft software experience preferred.
