Role Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Operations – Highlands & Islands, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Manager with experience in the travel or event sector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in people management and the ability to drive results through effective team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

· Execute and oversee all aspects of the bidding process, planning, and operation of services for clients within your assigned area of responsibility, including direct contribution and team leadership.

· Coordinate pier operations, including the supervision of guides, coach drivers, and other casual staff.

· Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication.

· Lead and manage a remote team by setting clear goals, providing ongoing support and guidance, conducting performance reviews, and facilitating professional development opportunities to foster growth and enhance team performance.

· Ensure the Head of Operations is regularly updated on day-to-day operational matters.

· Collaborate with the Product Development team to create new tour products and maintain and update the tour database for your assigned area of responsibility, including conducting site visits and completing risk assessments.

· Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational excellence.

Proven experience in managing a diverse team, including remote staff.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptability and willingness to travel within the UK, sometimes at short notice.
Ability to work weekends and out of normal office hours, including some overnight stays away from home.
Proficient in Microsoft applications with intermediate Excel skills.
Possess a full, clean driving license with the confidence to drive to various locations.
