Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated, analytical, and knowledgeable Remote Java Developer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will focus on creating, modifying and ensuring the optimal functionality of our company’s Java-based applications. Your key objective will be to develop high-quality, scalable and predictable applications on an agreed timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Java-based applications.
• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.
• Develop highly-responsive applications by elaborating requirements into appealing, practical solutions.
• Create and implement back-end components and server-side logic.
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications while providing support and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders to ensure applications are top-notch.
• Perform code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure the quality of code and design.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Java Developer.
• Excellent knowledge of Java, J2EE, and UI technologies.
• Proficiency in Spring Framework and Hibernate.
• Experience in designing, building and testing Java EE applications.
• In-depth knowledge of popular Java frameworks like JSF and Spring MVC.
• Understanding of Java GUI frameworks such as Swing, SWT, and AWT depending on project requirements.
• Familiarity with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and architectural patterns.
• Good delegation and time management skills and the ability to debug complex issues.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and DevOps processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
