THE ROLE

XBURO is looking for graduate and intermediate electrical engineers with an added interest in project management.

The role would be suitable for engineers looking to develop not only their technical ability, but also their intrapersonal, project and business management skills. 

XBURO is unique in that our team members are provided with the opportunity to work on both engineering design and project management projects within the construction industry.

Our project management team has grown rapidly in the last 18 months, as such there is a drive to expand the engineering team.

Working on both engineering and project management projects, you will be responsible for the following:

• Carrying out building services electrical engineering design activities, in conjunction with or under supervision from our senior engineers.
• Preparation of electrical engineering drawings, schematics, schedules, specifications and other technical documents.
• Work closely with numerous clients, including architects, builders and contractors.
• General project and business administration duties.
• Work with other stakeholders within the business to coordinate disciplines and manage milestones
• Carry out project management activities on technically complex construction projects.
• Attend and contribute to meetings with various clients, stakeholders, consultants and contractors.
• Contribute to the overall development and growth of the business.

ABOUT YOU

You will have the following skills:
 

• A keen willingness to learn and adapt.
• An appropriate bachelor’s degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field recognised by Engineers Australia.
• An ability to work with and support varying personality types.
• An ability to problem-solve and work autonomously.
• Technically strong with first principles engineering with an ability to challenge the norm and think outside the box.
• Highly motivated towards a growing business.
• Permanent work rights in Australia.
