Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. The role will require significant knowledge in Self Assessment & PAYE tax returns. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, has strong analytical skills, and is passionate about financial management but also loves the independence of working in a fast paced start up.
Role Responsibilities ( MUST HAVES)
– Help preparing client tax returns. Excellent knowledge in all tax returns and process of tax filing for clients with HMRC.
– Liaise with the product manager to outline what questions are needed and what information / documents are required from the client in order to file a tax return.
– Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for the UK business.
– Knowledge of tax relief for all Self Assessment and PAYE tax returns.
– Provide guidance and mentoring to tax agents to ensure accuracy of tax filing.
Experience
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
– Proven experience working as a Tax Accountant or in a similar role
– Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
– Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or PeopleSoft
– Knowledge in Making Tax Digital
– Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6-12 months
Pay: £35,291.00-£38,610.00 per year
