What you’ll do

At Shannon’s it’s all about our customers and the positive impact we can make in their lives and communities. As a Motor Enthusiast Underwriter, you will be:

Taking incoming calls from our new and existing customers
Providing information and product knowledge to identify the right level of insurance protection to meet the customers requirement.
Strive to make the complex simple whilst ensuring the customers’ needs are met
Share your passion for motoring and provide a unique service to ensure your customers can drive or ride forward with confidence, knowing they are covered by Shannons

What you’ll bring

A genuine passion for cars or motorbikes is essential
Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to build strong rapport with customers
Proven problem-solving skills with a talent for simplifying complex issues for customers
A strong drive to meet and exceed targets, demonstrating consistent motivation
Eager to expand your knowledge and contribute ideas through innovative thinking
High technical proficiency with experience navigating multiple systems

Shifts & Hours

We are currently recruiting for full-time positions for the below shift options:

Option 1: Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week – SW 8am-10am
Option 2: Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week – SW 9am – 11am

‘Start window’ means you can be asked to start at any time between the hours shown. You must be able to fully commit to the shift shown.

Training Period

If successful, we are offering 7 weeks full time, paid training (Monday – Friday from 8.30am until 4.30pm), commencing on the Monday 2nd December. This training will be held onsite at our Heatherton office.

Work from home requirements

As this role will be a combination of onsite attendance and work from home you will need to be set up accordingly. You will be provided with a Suncorp laptop; however, you must organise the following:

Home phone line or VOIP connection
Good quality internet connection, ergonomic set up including keyboard, mouse, dual screens, desk, chair and a private space.
