About You

You are a skilled Project Manager with experience in the construction or architecture space. Your communication skills are highly advanced and you are able to negotiate and influence with tact and diplomacy. You are an expert at developing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders.

About the Role

Reporting to the Associate Director: Major Projects, the Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of the Aboriginal Knowledges Centre Project, a UniSA Reconciliation Action Plan commitment. You will communicate regularly and effectively with the Office of Aboriginal Leadership and Strategy and key Aboriginal stakeholders to inform decision making for successful project delivery.

The Facilities Management Unit (FMU) provides support to the University’s teaching, research and community engagement activities in three areas: Capital Development, Campus Operations and Commercial Services.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Degree-level qualifications and substantial experience in Project Management within the built environment
  • Demonstrated experience in analysing stakeholders’ needs and developing robust project briefs
  • Proven ability to use effective Project Management skills to successfully deliver a portfolio of building related projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical issues and requirements for commercial buildings
  • Demonstrated experience in the effective leadership and management of large project teams including technical and specialist resources and external consultants
  • Demonstrated ability to work and manage relationships in a complex and political environment and balance a range of priorities and expectations
