Accelerator Kernel Key Developer (Remote)

In this role, the successful candidate will work on designing and optimizing kernel-level components critical to the performance and efficiency of next-generation AI applications. This position is ideal for someone passionate about hardware acceleration, high-performance computing (HPC), and machine learning integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated kernel-level software components
• Develop and refine kernels and kernel libraries targeted for efficient machine learning applications
• Implement optimizations for tensor compute and tensor data movement
• Emphasize heavy optimizations on low-level routines, especially focusing on tensor optimizations
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers to ensure seamless integration of optimized kernels into various ML frameworks
• Conduct thorough performance profiling, identify bottlenecks, and devise strategies to address them effectively
• Write, test, and debug comprehensive unit tests to ensure the robustness of kernel-level code
• Maintain high-performance standards while constantly seeking opportunities for improvement

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in kernel development
• Expertise in C/C++
• Proficiency in developing and optimizing kernels for machine learning and high-performance computing applications
• Strong background in low-level code analysis and optimization
• Capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate optimized kernels into broader applications
• Competency in performance profiling, debugging, and resolving complex issues with optimized code
• Skills in performance optimization tools

Nice to have

• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and concepts
• Understanding of operating system internals
• Experience with GPU programming (CUDA, OpenCL)
