Five Spice Indian Grocery is an innovative grocery business dedicated to bringing Indian food culture to local and international shoppers. We’re developing a cutting-edge inventory management app that seamlessly integrates with Square POS, providing streamlined operations for our store. We are seeking a talented Front-End Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in building a user-friendly and efficient front-end for this app.

Role Overview:
As a Front-End Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the core user interface of our inventory management app. You’ll work closely with our product and back-end teams to ensure a seamless and visually appealing user experience, focusing on key features such as inventory tracking, real-time updates, and efficient integration with Square POS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop responsive, intuitive user interfaces using React.js and Material-UI (MUI).
• Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with APIs, including Square POS and Firebase Firestore.
• Build components that support real-time inventory management, product listings, and transaction processing.
• Optimize app performance for both desktop and mobile users.
• Implement secure user authentication and session management using Firebase Authentication.
• Design and implement data visualization features for inventory metrics and sales trends.
• Ensure that code is maintainable, modular, and adheres to front-end development best practices.
• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to collaborate with the remote team.

Tech Stack:

• React.js: Core framework for building the user interface.
• Material-UI (MUI): For designing UI components and ensuring a consistent look and feel.
• Firebase: For authentication and real-time database integration.
• Square API: For syncing products, transactions, and inventory.
• Git/GitHub/GitLab: For version control and collaboration.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in front-end development with a focus on React.js.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with Firebase for authentication and database interaction.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, particularly POS-related integrations.
• Proficiency in building responsive UIs using MUI or similar component libraries.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and work in a collaborative, remote environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
