Regional Category Manager (Remote)

Molex is seeking a dynamic Category Manager to join our Procurement Team.

This pivotal role focuses on strategic procurement for machinery across Europe, engaging with various divisions and business units, leveraging purchasing power, and driving cost-saving initiatives through effective supplier management, relationship building, and cross-functional collaboration.

Your Job

• Proactively engage with European Divisions and Business Units.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align business needs while leveraging purchasing power.
• Strategic segmentation of preferred suppliers and implementation across the organization.
• Continuously enhance the preferred supplier list and effectively communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Build and strengthen relationships with preferred and business-critical vendors.
• Improve mutual understanding between internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive transparent, data-based decision-making through TCO evaluations.
• Initiate workshops for internal stakeholders to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Drive cross-functional cost-saving projects to optimize expenses and enhance efficiency.

Your profile

• Master’s Degree in Business or Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in Category or Commodity Management, specifically in the procurement of machinery.
• Demonstrated experience in pricing and contract negotiation.
• Ability to read and understand technical specifications.
• Fluent in English and German.

• Strong expertise in global cost knowledge.
• Expertise in global commodity sourcing and negotiating indirect materials.
• Familiarity with the product development process.
• Language skills in Mandarin.
• Familiarity with Source-to-Pay tools, such as Coupa.

This role requires travelling up to 40%
