Market Development And Innovation Manager | Omya | Brazil
BASIC FUNCTION:
Provide leadership in developing and transferring technical expertise and knowledge to Omya’s internal stakeholders and distributor and farmer customers on the use of Omya’s products for applications in the targeted market segment. Plan, prioritize, and implement trials and demonstrations to support go-to-market strategies, respond to application training requests, and build technical story for new product launches.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for technical service activities concerning Omya’s existing products and provide technical knowledge transfer for market development activities
- Lead the process to develop in-depth technical knowledge and market specific value positioning. Support and deliver training for agricultural products in the regional businesses. Applications relating to new introductions, new positioning of existing products and support for the current portfolio.
- Support Operations with implementation of production of existing products in new geographies and support Sales with the organization of regional field demonstrations in alignment with market development goals.
- Respond quickly to customer questions and requests with regards to technical information, application or agronomic advice.
- Work together with Innovation team to ensure product testing is aligned with market needs and that Internal teams are well educated regarding development projects at time of product launch.
- Be the primary agronomic source for writing and reviewing of product recommendations, technical marketing collateral and other marketing communications.
- Work with Market Development and Innovation team to formulate and execute market development plans for successful product launches
- Plan, organize and provide technical product training to internal stakeholders and key customers
- Prepare technical presentations suitable for external communications
- Build and maintain technical market intelligence (Competition monitoring)
- Support and guide Quality control/ Sales on handling of claims
- Be accountable for maintaining product database
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University (Degree) in Agriculture or other relevant technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant industry. Experience in trial design.
- Ability to communicate on all levels with customer and company personnel
- Leadership experience and ability to influence without authority
- Strong presentation skills
- Agility to adapt to new opportunities
- Must be fluent in English both verbal and written, Spanish language skills would be beneficial
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, statistics and project management software
- Willingness and ability to travel (30% to 50%)
