The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Architect to join our Technology Group, which consists of experts in software development, infrastructure, business analysis and quality assurance. This pivotal role is responsible for creating, developing, and leading the architecture practice within our organization. You will focus on establishing and maturing the architectural framework, methodologies, and standards that will guide the design and implementation of IT solutions across the enterprise.
As an Enterprise Architect, you will be instrumental in aligning our technology strategy with our business objectives, ensuring our IT systems and infrastructure support our customer’s growth and success. You will also play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise-wide technology architecture to ensure it is scalable, secure, and capable of meeting current and future goals.
Main Activities of This Position:
- Strategy and Planning: Establish the overall architecture roadmap and strategy, anticipating complex challenges and opportunities. Develop and maintain architecture artifacts and blueprints that guide decision-making and prioritization. Set strategic direction for enterprise architecture and ensure technology strategies align with business needs.
- Establish and Develop Architecture Practice: Develop and implement a comprehensive architecture practice strategy aligned with the organization’s objectives. Define frameworks, standards, and governance processes. Establish an architecture repository to document and communicate best practices.
- Architecture Initiatives: Conduct reviews and assessments of existing systems, identify gaps, and propose solutions. Drive the adoption of emerging technologies and lead the design of enterprise-wide solutions aligned with business and IT strategies.
- Collaboration, Influence & Leadership: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure architectural consistency and alignment. Communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies:
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or similar role.
- Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, secure technology architectures.
- An ability to understand the customer journey and map the architectural components behind it.
- Relevant certifications, such as TOGAF, CISSP, or similar, are desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).
- Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies, including cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
- Strategic thinking with strong analytical skills to evaluate solutions and inform decisions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Finance / wealth management industry experience is a bonus.
