We are seeking an experienced UX/UI Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will create seamless, engaging user experiences across web and mobile platforms, leveraging your design skills to bring websites to life and deliver impactful results for our clients. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our projects are aligned with modern industry standards, from both written and visual perspectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• User Experience & Interface Design: Craft visually appealing and user-centered designs, ensuring intuitive navigation, responsive design, and accessibility standards are met. Develop wireframes, prototypes, and final user interface designs that align with client goals.
• Collaboration & Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, content creators, and project managers, to ensure design consistency and best practices. Participate actively in brainstorming sessions and contribute to creative project development.
• Content & Visual Consistency: Bring expertise in both written content and visual elements, ensuring cohesive storytelling and consistency across platforms. Design graphics and visual assets using Figma, Canva, or similar tools, working closely with the Project Manager.
• User Research & Testing: Conduct user research, analyze findings, and use insights to inform design decisions. Develop user personas, conduct usability testing, and iterate on designs to improve user satisfaction and engagement.
• Industry Awareness & Innovation: Stay up-to-date with UX/UI best practices, emerging trends, and design tools to bring fresh ideas to the table. Contribute to workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions to inspire the team.

Your Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a UX/UI Specialist with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or related field.
• Expertise in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
• In-depth understanding of user-centered design principles, responsive design, accessibility standards, and industry best practices.
• Strong visual design skills combined with an ability to create compelling written content that enhances user experience.
• Experience in working within an agile environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design choices and collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
• Passion for community engagement and making a positive impact on Atlantic Canada.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$57,000.00 per year
