The Senior Grant Writer researches foundation, corporate, and government grant opportunities and develops successful grant applications to advance CHS strategic objectives and priorities. Overall, the Senior Grant Writer contributes to the CHS high performance culture by exhibiting our values and providing quality results that position CHS as the leader in delivering proactive behavioral health, case management, community and early childhood solutions for children and families.

Primary Job Functions
1. Manage, write, and submit grant proposals and supporting documents for foundation, corporation, and government funding to advance CHS strategic objectives and priorities.
- Conduct prospect research on public and private funding opportunities at the local, state, and national
- Present details about funding opportunities to other CHS team
- Maintain accurate records in Client Relationship Management
- Provide grant technical support to Grant Writers and other CHS Team
- Support program design for funding opportunities by researching and summarizing program components such as evidence-based models.
- Present research related to program design to other CHS team members.
- Collaborate with other CHS team members to create SMART outcomes.
- Collaborate with other grant writers to manage, write, and submit grant proposals and supporting documents for foundation, corporation, and government funding.
- Maintain effective, positive relationships through communication with prospective and current grantors, as well as with functional/statewide team members.
- Participate in grant technical training provided by funding
- Keep abreast of the changing grant landscape and proposal
- Keep CHS management apprised of projected, pending and submitted grant
- Prepare post-award documentation in a timely fashion and submit to all
- Participate in grant pre-bid conferences as needed.
- Review funder follow-up-reports as needed.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
2. Contribute to a positive, engaging work environment.
- Develop a strong knowledge base and stay current on job-related issues and
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, training, and education, as well as the quality
- Comply with CHS’s code of conduct, policies, procedures, and other
- Assist with training other team members and providing back up when
- Pick up projects on the fly; perform other duties as assigned from time to

Job Qualifications
Education, Licenses & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to human services from an accredited university, required; Master’s degree, preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Experience:
- Florida Driver’s License within 30 days from hire with daily access to a reliable and insured vehicle, required.
- Five years of successful experience in federal, state, and foundation grant writing and administration, required.
- Experience working in a social services related non-for-profit agency, strongly
- Experience administering the grant writing process for a social services related non-for-profit agency, strongly preferred.
- Experience utilizing a fundraising and constituent relationship management (CRM) system.
- Experience planning, preparing, and delivering grant-writing workshops,
- Experience with providing support, training, and supervision of the grant writing process,
