If you’re ready to turn raw data into impactful marketing decisions, our client has the ideal role for you. We’re seeking a Marketing Data Analyst (aka The Insightful Marketer) to analyze data, uncover insights, and provide strategic recommendations that enhance our marketing initiatives and optimize customer engagement.
As a Marketing Data Analyst at our client, you’ll work closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to provide data-driven insights that inform campaign strategies, customer segmentation, and channel optimization. Your work will be essential in helping the organization reach its audience more effectively and maximize return on marketing investment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze Marketing Campaign Performance:
- Conduct in-depth analyses of marketing campaigns to evaluate performance across channels, including digital ads, email, social media, and more. You’ll identify what’s working and what isn’t to improve ROI.
- Provide Customer and Market Insights:
- Utilize data analytics to understand customer behavior, demographics, and preferences. You’ll develop actionable insights for audience segmentation and personalized marketing strategies.
- Develop Marketing Dashboards and Reports:
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio. You’ll ensure marketing teams have easy access to real-time performance metrics.
- Conduct A/B Testing and Experimentation:
- Set up and analyze A/B tests for marketing campaigns to determine the most effective tactics. You’ll provide insights on what optimizations yield the highest conversion rates and engagement.
- Collaborate on Marketing Strategy and Planning:
- Work with marketing managers to align data insights with strategy and planning. You’ll recommend optimizations for campaigns, budgeting, and channel allocations.
- Monitor and Report on Key Metrics:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), conversion rates, and retention. You’ll communicate trends, successes, and areas for improvement.
- Stay Updated on Marketing Analytics Tools and Trends:
- Keep up with advancements in marketing analytics, data tools, and methodologies. You’ll bring innovative solutions to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Required Skills:
- Data Analysis and Statistical Skills: Strong knowledge of data analysis techniques and statistical methods for evaluating marketing performance, trends, and customer behavior.
- Proficiency in Analytics Tools: Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, or Adobe Analytics. Familiarity with SQL and Excel is essential.
- Marketing Knowledge: Understanding of digital marketing metrics, channels, and KPIs, along with experience analyzing customer journeys and segmentation.
- A/B Testing and Experimentation: Ability to design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to improve campaign effectiveness and optimize marketing strategies.
- Communication and Storytelling: Strong skills in translating data into clear, actionable insights for marketing and business stakeholders.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Equivalent experience in marketing data analysis may be considered.
- Certifications in data analysis or marketing analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau Specialist) are beneficial.
Experience Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in marketing analytics or data analysis, with a proven track record of generating insights that impact marketing strategy.
- Experience working with CRM and marketing automation platforms, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Marketo, is a plus.
- Familiarity with digital ad platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads) and experience in campaign data analysis is advantageous.
