As we continue to expand internationally, we aim to foster growth and efficiency in diverse markets through technology-driven solutions.
Your responsibilities
- Promote SteelBuy’s metals trading marketplace to the German metals industry, building strong relationships with mills, traders, and stockists
- Onboard mid to high volume buyers and sellers, reinforcing the SteelBuy approach to all users and ensuring excellent customer service
- Prepare and present presentations and decks; train and onboard new customer success hires when necessary
- Serve as the first point of contact for service and technical inquiries, solving customer issues or escalating as needed
- Monitor and report on competitors’ activity and track customer success KPIs like onboarding success and satisfaction
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and partners to ensure smooth deliveries and streamline touchpoints
- Assist with resolving quality issues by maintaining records and inspecting non-conforming products
- Continually looking for ways to improve the end-to-end process flow and post-sale process for customer
- Mentor and coach the customer success team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on growth and service excellence
Your profile
- Experience in the German metals industry, preferably with a mill or large service centre
- Strong background in business development, client base building, and key account management or customer service
- Extensive technical knowledge of carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminium, along with strong relationships with steel mills and service centres
- Fluent in German and English, with first-class communication and organisational skills
- Proficient in CRM systems with a self-dependent, solution-oriented approach
- High service orientation with experience inspecting non-conforming metals and ensuring compliance with specifications
- Bonus: Fluency in Spanish and/or Dutch, and experience in the metals trading sector
