About You
You have a proven track record in delivering commercial projects successfully within the built asset environment, supported by strong project management expertise. You excel at scoping, planning, and executing multiple projects concurrently, delivered on time and within budget. You have outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, and can navigate complex organisational settings effectively, collaborating well with a diverse array of stakeholders.
About the Role
You will be responsible for leading and managing the planning and delivery of complex projects in support of capital works and maintenance programs within the University’s built asset environment. Individual projects may have values up to $20m.
About the Facilities Management Unit
The Facilities Management Unit (FMU) is responsible for ensuring the physical environment of the campus is safe, functional, and conducive to learning and research. It comprises three main groups which are Campus Operations, Capital Development and Commercial Services. These groups enable the Unit to create, operate and maintain outstanding facilities which support the University’s teaching, research and support functions.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Qualifications and substantial experience in Project Management within the built environment
- Demonstrated experience in analysing stakeholders’ needs and developing robust project briefs
- Proven ability to use effective Project Management skills to successfully deliver a portfolio of building related project
- Knowledge and understanding of technical issues and requirements for commercial buildings
- Demonstrated experience in the effective leadership and management of large project teams including technical and specialist resources and external consultants
