Hughes Consulting is currently hiring for multiple Project Controls Specialists with experience in leading cost controls for CapEx projects within a pharmaceutical or FDA regulated manufacturing environment.

Project Controls Specialist Responsibilities:

• Review project scope, strategy, and deliverables with client groups and other stakeholders to execute project tasks associated with small and large capital projects in a cGMP environment.
• Provide tracking and forecasting of project spending to budget.
• Utilize appropriate tools to track purchase orders, invoices, payments and cost estimates.
• Assist as required in qualifying and processing project purchase orders
• Ensure all procurement procedures are followed, including competitive bidding.
• Monitor, approve, and track cost invoices from vendors and contractors.
• Assist as needed in expediting services for equipment and material.
• Collect and analyze data and make recommendations on resource planning to clients on the overall Capital Investment Program.
• Participate in the development of project cost estimates for engineering projects.
• Support monthly financial projections by analyzing subconsultant and client labor.

You will have:

• Minimum 5 years of project cost controls experience
• Minimum Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Specific skills associated with project controls, finance, and procurement.
• Experience with Oracle Unifier Accelerator or a similar ERP system
• Good documentation practices
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proven track record of being self-motivated and capable of working in diverse team situations with Company clients.

Desired Skills:

• Project controls experience with pharmaceutical engineering CapEx projects.
• Previous ERP system implementation experience
