Job Description

The Application Security Admin ll will work with Senior SIEM Administrators and developers to develop and deliver solutions to gain visibility of security events within their environment. The Application Security Engineer Il is a foundational role within the SOC, instrumental in shielding the organization’s web applications from malicious threats. This proactive individual will be deeply involved in crafting robust defenses for critical applications, working with development teams to improve secure coding practices, promptly responding to any threats or attacks, and actively contributing to the development of custom alerting use-cases tailored for public-facing applications. They exhibit a broad sense of ownership over application security domains, from prevention and detection to a decisive response, ensuring comprehensive application protection.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of IT security and network experience
• Application Security experience is a must
• Must be able to Design and implement sophisticated custom alerting use-cases to proactively identify security risks in public-facing web apps.
• Must be proficient in either (Java, C++, Python and JavaScript)
• Must have Security protocols, application security tool, penetration testing and Risk assessment.
• Knowledge of Mac OS X and Linux operating systems
• 2 + years in a security related information systems role.
• 1+ years of TCP/IP experience
• APT Kill Chain experience
• Bash. Perl or other Scripting experience

Must have one of the following Certs

• GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH);
• GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA);
• GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA);
• GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE);
