Job Responsibilities:
The Sheetfed Offset Printing Field Service Manager will manage a team of technicians and oversee the installation, maintenance, upgrade, and repair of mechanical and electrical components on Mitsubishi / RMGT / Heidelberg / Komori / KBA / Man Roland printing presses including pneumatic circuits as well as various peripheral equipment such as Lithec, Baldwin, Technotrans, Harris & Bruno, etc. The Service Manager comes up with a plan of action to address customer issues with an emphasis on quality work and efficiently minimizing installation or downtime to control costs. The Service Manager will also ensure optimal machine performance including preventive maintenance and provide exceptional service to our customers.
Major Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and schedule service operations to ensure efficient use of resources.
• Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize machine downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Provide expert troubleshooting and repair for offset printing machines, addressing issues promptly and effectively with customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their printing needs are met and issues resolved swiftly.
• Provide technical direction and leadership to support team and to ensure expert troubleshooting and repair for offset printing machines is provided.
• Ensure issues are promptly and effectively dealt with.
• Conduct pre-install meetings with customers and technical crew;
• Conduct training sessions for technicians and clients on machine operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability for timely repairs.
• Monitor the performance of printing equipment to ensure adherence to quality standards and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, machine performance, and customer feedback.
• Assist in developing and managing the service department budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Terms of employment: Permanent Full-time Position
Wages: CAD 70,000.00
Location of work: This position is based in the Greater Toronto area.

Skills requirements:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Aptitude for all things mechanical.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Proven experience in offset printing machinery installation, maintenance and repair.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical knowledge of offset printing processes.
• Knowledge of installation, maintenance, upgrade, diagnosis and repair mechanical and electrical components on Mitsubishi/RMGT/Heidelberg/Komori/KBA/Man Roland printing presses including pneumatic circuits as well as various peripheral equipment such as Lithec, Baldwin, Technotrans, Harris & Bruno, etc.
• Good customer service skills with attentive listening.
• Collaborative team member with the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with external customers and other internal resources such as Service, Parts, Remote Maintenance, and other functional areas.
• Ability to travel to client sites
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
Education: Diploma in Engineering, Print Technology, or a related field preferred
Experience: Minimum 10+ years related work experience in printing, press manufacturing, industrial/plant maintenance, automotive production/service, or other related technical field.
Computer Skills: Experience Microsoft Windows; programming and networking; extensive use of various proprietary software and programming tools; PLC Programming, Melsec preferred. Proficiency in using scheduling, maintenance management software and tools.
