Ngā Kete Wānanga o Ōtautahi Christchurch City Libraries is a network of 20 physical and one digital library providing access to creativity, ideas, and information, with collections at its core.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and customer-focused library professional to join our team.
About the role | Ko te mahi nei
Along with five other Selection and Access Librarians, you will evaluate and select library resources in response to identified customer needs and expectations; drive collection development for the library network; provide collection management advice, training and support to service delivery colleagues; and monitor and promote library collections.
What will set you up for success:
You will hold a library qualification at an undergraduate level or higher, and have at least five years relevant library experience. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the principles and practices pertaining to collection development and collection management, and working within a specified budget.
You will be highly confident using a wide range of electronic resources, and have the ability to transfer knowledge from one situation to another. You are results focused, able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and have good attention to detail. You have excellent communication and customer service skills; and can think innovatively. Hours of work – Permanent Fulltime, Monday to Friday
Location – This position is primarily based at 180 Smith Street, Woolston 8062
Salary – $78,464 – $87,182 (pro rata)
