Job Overview
We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager for our Foodservice Division, reporting to the Director of Foodservice and Alternative Channels. In this strategic role, you will spearhead sales initiatives for our product range with key Foodservice and Vending distributors while driving sales from essential operators. Close collaboration with broker partners will be crucial to executing effective customer strategies and market plans across your designated region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic business plan for the Foodservice and Vending channel to enhance sales and profitability in line with brand strategies.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify customer needs, uncover business opportunities, and recommend sales strategies for your territory.
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with operators, distributors, and brokers, ensuring efficient communication.
- Strategically plan and collaborate with broker sales partners to achieve operator targets and foster distribution that contributes to profitable growth.
- Lead initiatives with broker sales partners to drive market strategies that yield actionable plans for long-term success.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations to key operators and distributors, often in partnership with the Broker Sales Agency.
- Facilitate product training for broker sales partners, operators, and distributors.
- Achieve volume targets for both existing accounts and new business, consistently updating and communicating progress.
- Represent the organization at significant regional trade shows and customer events to build brand equity and foster new relationships.
- Identify and nurture long-term relationships with large operators/customers in your region, contributing to overall growth strategies and new business endeavors.
Required Skills
- Profound understanding of the foodservice and vending sectors, with the ability to leverage Food Service Contracts for enhanced customer positioning.
- Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining customer and broker relationships.
- Strong capability to forge effective internal and external working relationships.
- Solution-oriented sales mindset with an aptitude for building partnerships with customers.
- Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational proficiency.
- Sound judgment leading to informed decision-making and recommendations.
- A growth-oriented mindset, embracing challenges and advancing skills through persistence.
- A willingness to continuously challenge the status quo and seek areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- A BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in foodservice and/or vending sales, including account and broker management.
- Experience collaborating with Broker Sales Agencies is essential.
- Proven ability to create operator purchases to enhance local distributor slots and headquarter relationships with broadline distributors, in conjunction with internal sales teams and broker sales partners.
- An entrepreneurial spirit with a strong drive to surpass expectations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
