Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and creative Podcast Producer to join the Naijapreneurs Media team. As the Podcast Producer, you will be responsible for managing the production process of our podcast from concept to release, ensuring that each episode meets our high standards of quality and delivers engaging content to our audience. You will work closely with the podcast host and other team members to ensure a seamless production workflow while maintaining the voice and mission of Naijapreneurs Media.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end production of the Naijapreneurs podcast, including planning, recording, editing, and post-production.
• Coordinate with guests, team members, and external collaborators to schedule interviews and ensure smooth production timelines.
• Edit audio and video content for clarity, flow, and professional sound quality, ensuring all episodes meet brand standards.
• Manage podcast episode releases, ensuring timely publication across platforms (e.g., Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.) according to the release schedule.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials, including episode teasers, social media clips, and show notes.
• Track and analyze podcast performance, using feedback and data to improve the show’s content and production quality.
• Stay up to date with trends in podcasting, technology, and the Nigerian entrepreneurial ecosystem to bring fresh ideas and innovation to the show.
• Ensure all legal aspects of the podcast (e.g., guest releases, copyright) are managed appropriately.
• Maintain and organize a comprehensive editorial calendar for episodes, guest bookings, and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in podcast production, editing, and post-production (minimum 2 years).
• Strong proficiency in audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, Pro Tools).
• Experience with video editing software (e.g., Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro) is a plus.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with podcast hosting platforms and distribution channels (e.g., Libsyn, Anchor, Buzzsprout).
• A passion for Nigerian entrepreneurship and cultural storytelling.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated with a commitment to delivering high-quality content.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with remote podcast teams or in a fully remote role.
• Knowledge of marketing strategies for podcasts, including social media promotion and audience engagement.
• Familiarity with the Nigerian entrepreneurial ecosystem or diaspora communities.
