Enterprise Systems Project Manager (Remote)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our innovative Enterprise Systems Department (ESD). In this key position, you will drive the strategic deployment of cutting-edge technology solutions while also enhancing existing systems. Your collaborative efforts with various stakeholders will be vital in ensuring that projects are delivered within established scope, budget, and timelines.

This opportunity is fully remote for U.S.-based candidates only. Please note that only U.S. citizens will be considered for this role. While we envision a long-term collaboration, the position is subject to annual budget evaluations. The initial contract extends through the current fiscal year, with a possible renewal anticipated on July 1st.

Key Responsibilities

• Effectively manage time and resources to keep projects on schedule.
• Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project scope, issues, risks, and deliverables.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through continuous communication and negotiation of scope and schedule adjustments.
• Shape client expectations and manage project scope, risk, and budget effectively.
• Proactively identify potential project risks and collaborate with stakeholders to formulate and implement mitigation strategies.
• Monitor team performance and guide project teams toward successful outcomes.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of relevant project management experience.
• Strong analytical and presentation capabilities, with the aptitude to customize communication for diverse audiences, including management, stakeholders, users, and technical teams.
• Proven proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA.
• Preferred experience as both a Project Manager and Business Analyst in the same project.
• Solid understanding of Agile Software Development Lifecycle processes, including incremental/iterative and Waterfall methodologies.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
• Experience in overseeing user acceptance testing (UAT) and developing test cases/scenarios.
• Familiarity with web application development teams utilizing technologies like Java and Drupal.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Experience in research/educational institutions or small IT companies is a plus.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is required, preferably in Business, Accounting, or an IT-related field. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
