Salary: €3,333 – €4,580 per month
Job Type: Full-time Salaried Permanent
About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer with a strong background in Node.js, SQL, and NoSQL databases to join our team. If you have 8-12 years of backend development experience and a passion for creating high-performance systems, we’d love to hear from you! You’ll be key in designing, developing, and scaling backend systems for high-traffic applications, ensuring reliability, security, and performance. This role also involves mentoring junior developers and providing technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Backend Development: Build and maintain robust, scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js.
- Database Management: Work with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
- Scalability & Optimization: Design and implement systems that can handle high traffic and large data volumes, focusing on speed and reliability.
- Code Quality: Write clean, reusable code and follow best practices for security and industry standards.
- Mentorship: Guide and support junior developers through code reviews, feedback, and technical coaching.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with frontend developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver backend solutions aligned with business needs.
- Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve backend issues, implementing effective solutions to prevent future problems.
- Continuous Learning: Keep up with the latest in technology and best practices, suggesting improvements to team processes.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 8-12 years in backend development with expertise in Node.js, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Scalability Skills: Proven experience scaling applications and optimizing backend systems.
- Leadership: Previous experience mentoring junior developers and providing team guidance.
- Database Proficiency: Strong knowledge of database design, indexing, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Cloud & Containers: Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Security Focused: Proficient in security best practices for data protection and API design.
- Problem Solver: Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Bonus Points
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of frontend technologies to better collaborate with frontend teams.
