Full Time
A Workshop Maintenance Engineer – I will carry out routine maintenance tasks and defect rectification of aircraft components as per company and associated regulatory procedures.
In this role, you will:
– Carry out aircraft components maintenance and servicing tasks in compliance with manufacturer and safety procedures. Ensure that assigned aircraft components are maintained as per latest revisions of approved authority Technical Publications such as CMM, Aircraft documentation, Technical Notices, Quality Notices, and Engineering Procedures Manual etc. Ensure that personal approvals/licences are valid and applicable to aircraft components type/scope
– Determine if tooling/equipment used is serviceable and appropriate for the task and use specialised tooling where required. Ensure that trouble shooting procedures/tools used for fault rectification are carried out in a cost effective and efficient manner.
– Ensure that all activities performed are carried out in accordance with all safety rules and regulations and in adherence to company procedures, highlighting deficiencies/requirements through the effective use of reporting tools. Ensure all work locations are kept clean and excellent housekeeping conditions are maintained.
– Maintain effective communication with Colleagues including Managers and Senior Engineers to ensure a seamless flow of information and to highlight any potential operational issues.
– Manage the performance of staff using performance review process and system. Ensure SMART goal setting, interim/annual reviews and development plans are in place for assigned staff members in accordance with company procedures.
– Attend training/recurrent modules as required to enhance skills and comply with CAR 145 requirements.
– Ensure resources and manpower available is support of the business needs allowing targets/milestones to be adequately achieved. Ensure that available resources are utilized fully to meet the business needs. Ensure for all staff allocated to him/her and themselves to efficiently clock on/clock off job cards in the process of performing their usual duties. Must be available to assume duties and responsibilities of shift manager/senior engineer shift whenever delegated by the section manager.
Requirements:
– Degree or Honours (12+3) with 12+ years of workshop experience in an Engineering field
– 7+ Years as a certifying staff in the relevant area
– 7+ years of EASA Form1/GCAA AW1 certification experience.
– Must have held component release authorizations on relevant components covering a minimum of two
aircraft.
