Digital evidence can be one of the most valuable tools when investigating and prosecuting cases. But the extreme volume, variety and velocity of data has made digital evidence management more complex than ever. It’s time to revolutionize digital evidence management.
The Evidence Software department in Motorola Solutions is the leading provider of Digital Asset and Evidence Management Solution.
The team is responsible for end-to-end software development including: design, implementation, testing, delivery and maintenance. We work in a well balanced scrum team with a full range of software development experience and local Product Owner. We embrace the DevOps culture and Continuous Delivery approach.
Job Description
We are looking for a passionate Senior C# Engineer a Problem Solver, to join our department and develop with us an Evidence Software Platform used for gathering and sharing digital assets for police and judicial users.
The team is working on a following technology stack:
.NET 7 & C# 11 (soon .NET 8 & C# 12)
Kubernetes
Repository: GitHub
CI/CD automation: Azure Pipelines
Database: Azure Cosmos DB/Mongo
Cloud: Microsoft Azure
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Develop new features, test, deploy, fix bugs and support in Evidence Software
Influence and create new designs, software and methods for deploying large-scale distributed cloud systems.
Explore and define gaps between current platform capabilities, and those needed for new features.
Work with various engineers and architects within the platforms and products teams to improve our adoption of industry best practices for cloud security.
Help define the pipeline and tools necessary to support Full Continuous Delivery.
Maintain a positive attitude throughout typical work-related challenges
Spend time on learning and growing your skills
Support other team members
Basic Requirements
Between 3 and 8 years of experience in Software Development and a minimum of two years of experience in developing scalable, hosted web applications
Good knowledge of C# (10+) and .NET (6+)
Knowledge of NoSQL or SQL databases
Experience with hosting and developing applications using the public cloud (Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure)
Experience with CI/CD eg. Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions
Willingness to work on any problem type – development, testing, deployment automation
- Practical verbal and written English skills
Additional Optional Qualifications:
Experience with an open-source system for managing containerized applications, like Kubernetes
Testing and test automation skills
Knowledge or experience in web application security will be a plus
