Job Description:

We are seeking a Backend Developer with expertise in Azure to design and implement scalable, high-performance, and secure cloud solutions. This role requires a versatile developer proficient in Azure services, C#, RESTful API design, and cloud cost optimisation, with a strong focus on architecture, performance, and security.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who excels in an Agile, Scrum-based environment and adheres to best practices for naming conventions, resource organisation, cost control, and security standards within Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable backend solutions using C#, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Blob Storage, and SQL Server.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs with custom domain management.
• Leverage Azure Cognitive Services (including Document Intelligence and NLP) for advanced data processing and automated document parsing.
• Ensure efficient SQL Server performance, including stored procedure optimisation and performance tuning, while adhering to best security practices.
• Implement and manage cost control measures, budget tracking, and security protocols to optimise resource usage within Azure.
• Adhere to clinical naming conventions and best practices for security, organisation, and architecture within the Azure environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience as a Backend Developer with a focus on Azure cloud solutions.
• Proficient in C#, Azure Logic Apps, Functions, Blob Storage, SQL Server, and RESTful API design.
• Some understanding of Document Intelligence Studio and Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies.
• Security-focused mindset, with knowledge of Azure security best practices for data handling and resource management.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum project environments, with the ability to work autonomously and deliver on sprint goals.
• Familiarity with Progressive Web Application (PWA) concepts (ideal but not required)
• Experience with Angular and TypeScript (ideal but not required).
• Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification (ideal but not required).
• Integration experience with third-party platforms (ideal but not required).
